I will be sharing a stall with this lovely lady:
What a beautiful day, Sunday 27th September, to spend in the grounds of Petworth House, West Sussex. The sun was shining and the mood was bright. I had the tiniest of customers, such as Ella, who just needed to keep warm!
And others, like Sam, who wanted to look cool!
One of Waggy Wardrobe's lovely regular customers approached me in September, asking for Mario and Luigi costumes for Halloween. I made up the patterns and was very pleased with the results. They will be available to buy on the website very shortly. However, if you would like to place an order with me, please send me a message :)
At a Dog's Trust Open Day in 2013, I met a lovely couple named Kelli and Andrew who had a wedding booked for 31st July 2014 and were looking for a suitable outfit for their well-loved Shih tzu, Spencer, who would be celebrating their big day with them.
Kelli contacted me in June this year saying, "We have bought him a black doggie tux which we like but would rather get him a more comfortable (and matching) outfit to wear on the day".
The Groom and ushers were wearing dark grey suits with goldy yellow ties but the Groom had added a waistcoat to his attire to set him apart from the others. Kelli wanted a little waistcoat, short sleeved shirt and tie for Spencer with the main aim: to be comfortable.
Working with Kelli's measurements, I made a trial outfit first, to make sure that the fitting was right
and then went about selecting the correct fabric for the finished article.
The shirt was made from stretch jersey cotton and embellished with a gold bow tie and fabric buttons. The waistcoat had a dark grey silk back, with the back fastening, and was dark grey on the front with imitation pockets and contrasting buttons.
Kelli and Andrew were very pleased with the results and Spencer was a happy dog!
Hi Tracey.I hope your well.
I just wanted to send you a little message to say a big thank you again for making Spencer's suit for our wedding in July!! He looked absolutely amazing & everyone was blown away by how cute his suit was & how well it matched the ushers.
I wouldn't hesitate to use you again, your work is stunning.
I've attached a few photos of him from the day.
Kelli & Andrew (& Spencer)
Congratulations Kelli and Andrew
The sun shone brightly for the BSRA Charity Fun Day in Billingshurst. It was a great day including fun fair stalls, performers, ice carving and a dog show.
Pictured is one of my new customers, Whiskey, with his new Batman bandana and his winning rosette being proudly displayed by his owner :)
It was a soggy start but thankfully the rain gave in and there was even a glimpse of sun by close of day!
This was Waggy Wardrobe's first visit to the Heffle Cuckoo Fair in Heathfield and we hope to be back again next year. Lovely people and a very traditional fair!
Waggy Wardrobe made so many new friends over Halloween. Please pop over to my Waggy Friends page to see some of the adorable pooches in their new "threads"!
And take a look at this amazing comic strip, kindly sent to me, featuring Dexter and Elmo
Waggy Wardrobe had a wonderful time on Sunday at the Wadars Dog Show and Family Fun Day. The weather was against us at the start, having rained all day Saturday and continuing Sunday morning but, armed with the new gazebo, we were prepared for all weathers!
The event was so well attended by very many lovely people and the organisation of the entire day was superb. A definite one for the diary next year.......oh, and the sun did make an appearance to finish off a very special day :)
First Customer of the Day - Wonderdog!
On 29th June, I had the opportunity to meet Oliver Thornton, West End actor, lifestyle blogger and vintage enthusiast, currently starring as Dr. Frank'N Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I have been lucky enough to meet Oliver before and have been introduced to his gorgeous dog known as Lady Beatrice (Lady Bea for short!). I decided that if Oliver could dress up in high heels and suspenders night after night, Lady Bea should not be left out. So, I made her her very own costume, complete with suspenders and handed it to Oliver at stage door.
Oliver very kindly posted a picture on instagram. How cute......and such a lovely guy!
